Tony and Dashna left the room before. I left because I didn't want to answer their questions that were just plain annoying.
"Zairene," Clark called me as I walked down the hallway. I ignored her. "Zairene! Wait!"
I even made my steps straight up the stairs.
In my rush, I was confused by the steps. I just slid in and hung myself crouching on the floor but Clark's warm arm wrapped around my waist. Reasons for me to embrace him and prevent my downfall.
