Marsai enters the den looks at Katya and bows, “Your Majesty, she hasn’t mentioned anything but a little standoffish. But I’ve caught her sneaking back in late at night. Anamarie followed her to the river. Anamarie said it was as if she was waiting for someone but the person never showed up then she shifted and ran to the city. Anamarie followed her but lost her in the crowd at the parade.”
“I was sure she’ll lead us to the asshole. Stay on her. Darn, she’s never thinking about the jerk or anything negative. But from what I’ve heard she’s into something. Thanks, Marsai.” Katya hits the back of the sofa.
Zell and everyone else except for Nico are looking at Marsai leaving the room.
“I thought I was going to see someone get killed.” Hades mumbles.
