“You do realize why I can’t let you go to the abandoned warehouse, right?” Caden asks in his Alpha voice.
A shudder passes down my spine. I’ve heard Caden use his commanding voice before, but never on me. The other girls are shaking on the couch, and my heart pounds when Caden digs his eyes into mine.
I take a deep breath. “Why can’t I go?”
He doesn’t relent and keeps digging his eyes into mine. “Because the person who wrote that note knew you would return to your old house. That’s very suspicious, and now every pack member is a suspect.”
