Pacing back and forth in the living room, I couldn't relax and remained anxious. I was aware of my mother’s calculating gaze but I paid no attention as I was more concerned of Aziel arriving any minute. I just received a message from him ten minutes ago that he was already on his way. I thought he didn’t really mean what he said the night before, but I guessed he was the type of person who stays true to his words and acts on it. When he told me he was coming, I was all over the place after the call. I scanned our fridge to plan our lunch ahead that I couldn’t even think about breakfast.
