“Chandra, wait!” Lindsay followed me right after I walked out. She yanked my arm and spun me around to face her. Out of guilt, I refused to look straight in her eyes. I didn’t mean to show attitude and indirectly blame her. It had not even been three minutes since I said that and I already regretted everything. “Did you talk to Aziel?” she asked, trying to know why I was suddenly acting indifferent. I silently shook my head. “Then, what happened?” Still feeling the embarrassment and humiliation, I pressed my lips tight and dropped my eyes on the pavement. “He ignored me,” I whispered as I couldn’t bring myself to say it out loud. “He did?!” Lindsay was livid when she heard that.
