I still couldn't wrap my head around the unusual reaction from my mother during lunch. As soon as she got the list done, she immediately sent us to an errand to the grocery. It was like she was trying to shoo us away and cover up what just happened.  Discreetly glancing at Aziel who was focused on driving, I bit my lower lip.  He didn't seem bothered by the reaction my mother showed even if it somehow concerned his father. He looked laid back and excited to run an errand with me.  When my mother asked us to leave, he didn't question anything at all. He immediately agreed to it. And so, I had no choice but to follow his lead.  "Is there anything wrong?" Aziel quickly glanced at me before fixing his eyes on the road again.
