TAMMY I wake up to the ringing of the door bell. Springing onto my feet, I search for my slippers but I can't find them. The only option left is to switch on the lights because it's already dark. I fumble with the wall switch and when the lights finally laminate the whole room, I find my slippers and rush to the door. I smile weakly when I notice a bunch of kids and their mums standing at the other side of the door. Opening the door, I let all of them in as their parents bid us goodbye and leave to attend to their night shifts. I go through the usual routine of feeding the children and dressing them up for bed.
