Daniel and I walked side by side down the street towards the café we were going to for breakfast. We walked in a comfortable silence as Amber and Alec trailed behind us. They had been bickering ever since we left my apartment.
“I just don’t understand why you feel like you need to keep pushing me to spend time with you.” I hear Amber say with an annoyed tone.
Daniel laughs from beside me. “Sorry about those two tagging along. I was hoping to get some alone time with you.”
I blush profusely and place my hands over my cheeks to hide my embarrassment. Daniel removes one of my hands from my face and laces his fingers through mine. My small hand fits perfectly with his.
