When he regained consciousness he was still on his feet. The army of miniature demons with their torture tools and gleeful shrieks had gone. And so had Leroy. How he was able to stand unaided was yet another mystery and could remain so as far as he was concerned. There were more pressing matters to attend to. “Congratulations,” said Leroy, appearing suddenly in front of him. “You survived.” Nathan could hardly focus, let alone form enough words to speak a whole sentence.
