Chapter 10 Sunshine bathed the campsite in a warm golden light. By mid-morning the temperature had risen to a warm thirty degrees Celsius. “It’s going to be a good day,” said Nathan. “I’m glad you think so,” said Karl, bending down to kiss him. “Wait a minute. What do you mean? What are you up to?” A knowing smile slipped onto Nathan’s face. “Let’s just say that my nights are going to be a lot more peaceful after tonight.” Karl shook his head. “Be careful,” he said, pulling Nathan into an embrace. “I don’t want to lose you.” “I don’t intend to be lost,” said Nathan. “But let’s get to breakfast before Beth-Ann eats it all.” The mess hall was buzzing by the time Karl and Nathan appeared.
