Chapter 3 The next morning while Layla was getting ready for work, she tried to forget the way Declan all but blew her off. He’d always been secretive and mysterious, barely giving her a glimpse into who he was, but the way he’d acted last night, that was strange even for Declan. What the heck did he mean he couldn’t?
