“Hmm. Some of the wounds are not yet totally healed. Especially the one from her left arm. But almost all of them are now good.” The Doctor told Tanya after giving a thorough check on Riley.
It was already two weeks since the kid was living under the care of Tanya. And today was the scheduled day for her to go back to the hospital and have her follow-up check-up.
“That’s good to hear Dr. Lee.” Tanya replied as she and Riley followed the Doctor back to his table. They sat on the opposite chairs across.
Dr. Lee scanned some papers on the table for a minute, then gave Riley a look shortly after. “Also, as I already took out the sutures, please refrain on moving around for 1-2 days to help your wounds close up and heal properly. Understood, Riley?” He eyed the kid.
Riley slightly nodded to him as a response.
“Good.” The Doctor felt relieved. He went ahead and took the initiative on reminding the kid since he was informed about her participation on the chores inside Tanya’s mansion. “And you too, Miss Tanya.” He said after turning his gaze to the guardian.
“Huh? What?”
“Please, if possible, kindly stop the kid on doing something that would restrain her rib fracture. You see. Upon checking her X-ray results here, I won’t still be able to remove her Rib Brace today. This is because her ribs are still not fully healed, different from what I expected. This usually happens when the patient is not resting properly.” Dr. Lee scolded.
Tanya chuckled awkwardly and scratched her head. “Sorry, Doctor.” Is all she could she say.
She was thinking so much about Riley’s mental health that she forgot about her physical condition. She thought that letting the kid do those chores as she pleases will help the kid recover faster. She was right; however, it actually took some toll on the kid’s health condition. It was really her bad.
“Well, since you’re already aware, I am now hoping that next week’s schedule would show Riley’s full recovery. Physically. And soon, mentally.” The Doctor smiled at the two. “I already called Dr. Sweiss regarding your appointment. She is now waiting for you at her office, above.” Dr. Lee said, referring to the resident Psychiatrist that he recommended for Riley.
Tanya nodded and thanked the Doctor before bidding goodbye.
Monty and Morty who were waiting outside, walked behind Riley and Tanya as the two went to the elevator. While waiting for the lift, Riley suddenly pulled Tanya’s hem.
“A-am I crazy Sister Tanya?” The kid sadly asked.
Hearing this, Tanya immediately denied and explained. “No. No. You’re not crazy. Talking to Dr. Sweiss doesn’t mean you’re crazy. You just need her help. We can’t help you properly that’s why. Don’t worry. You’re not crazy. No one thinks that way about you, okay?” Tanya assured Riley properly.
The kid even turned to both Morty and Monty to be sure and the two gave her a thumbs up while smiling. That was when Riley finally smiled slightly.
Alert! Alert!
The troubling sound of an alarm about a virus invasion echoed inside the IT department of TG Capital. All the encrypted files are each unlocking one by one. This happened right after the computer virus invaded, seconds ago. It was so fast that everyone on the IT department was taken aback.
But suddenly, the unlocked files were each locked again and the virus was slowly deleting from their main server. It took an entire one minute and a half before the virus was fully gone. This huge win was made possible by the Head Security Analyst of their department.
Luckily, the man was always on standby. And when the virus almost wins over them, the security software that he developed was immediately launched causing the virus to fail.
This virus is what caused the encrypted confidential files to open. Luckily, the data’s inside was not copied nor stolen, preventing a huge chaos to occur. That is all thanks to the double security system he installed.
“The heck was that? That attack was so sudden!” One of the IT’s reacted.
The head heard this and denied the claim. “No. The attack pattern might be different right now, but the codes from this recent virus are almost identical to the previous virus codes.”
“What? You mean, the virus from that random invasion attacks last month?”
“Yes. I just ran the codes and saw a slight difference. They were identical but they produce different purpose. We have one single enemy here. And he’s not yet done.” The head announced. Everyone from that room turned silent. They were scared yet thrilled at the same time.
“Now you all know how skilled our enemy is. If you love your job, then better work your asses!” The head shouted.
“Yes Sir.” Jointly answered by the rest.
The head stared at his PC for a while. Their enemy is really skilled. He acknowledges that, since he made him use his trump card so soon. However, he still finds him/her novice. His/her motives are so straightforward; thus, he can quickly determine how to defend and counterattack.
That person might take a while to attack as he sent him a gift after returning his virus back. But he needs to be prepared. This person must not be underestimated.
“s**t! How are they so good?!” A boy on his teens threw his mouse.
His computer just shut down before he could repel the slightly different virus, he received back from TG Capital’s IT Department.
Just a few minutes ago, he attacked the company’s confidential files and failed. Don’t get him wrong. He doesn’t personally dislike the company. He was just bored!
He picked the company randomly using a roulette and coincidentally landed on TG Capital. He was hesitant at first since the company is huge but he still went ahead. He already expected that the company has great IT Security System but as he kept on attacking, he grew irritated and became competitive. He was so into the latest virus he created for almost a month and is so confident that he will win this time but he was wrong.
Well, he’s now totally defeated and his computer is also broken. His sister will surely kill him when she finds out. May God pity him.
Bang!
Then a loud thud from the door startled him. Was it his sister? But it’s not yet time for her to come home. And this question of his was answered when the door to his room opened hastily.
“My. My. Sorry for the intrusion @_blackjzz.”
The teen’s eyes widened. That was his hacker name!
“W-who are you?” He stutteringly asked, fear visible in his face.
“Only brave in front of our computer, are we?” The invaders were only three men, but their hands were equipped with guns. The teen boy was scared.
“Well, I don’t like beating around the bush so, here.” The guy in the middle threw an envelope on his bed. “We’re giving you three days to decide. We’ll be back whatever decision you come up with. But no cops. Strictly no cops. We aren’t that patient @_blackjzz. Decide wisely.”
After those three unidentified men left, the poor boy immediately grabbed the envelope and opened it.
Inside were photos of his sister working. And behind on one of those photos is a message.
Work for us.
The teen boy fell on the floor. Why is this happening to him?
