Chapter 6As it turned out, Alexi and Eli spent nearly two hours talking about music. Alexi’s tastes hadn’t changed much since high school. Some of their favorite bands had come out with new albums, and Alexi highly recommended My Chemical Romance’s Conventional Weapons series, as well as a few European metal bands, but there were also the classics like Hoobastank and Dashboard Confessional and Good Charlotte, and of course plenty of Voltaire, whom Alexi would love to dress like if they had the money and courage to do so. Eli’s sister had listened to bands like that, since she was a year older than Alexi, but he also had some recommendations from the era that Alexi had either overlooked or forgotten or simply never heard about.
