EPISODE 28- CAMILLA PARTY

It's been two hours since I left the guild to proceed with my quest. Which involves killing the pest in the town sewer system. I actually don't like this mission sue to the low-level monsters that I have to kill.

“Uhh… I want to get upgraded to a higher rank soon, too bad that still has to happen next week.”

But this isn't the time to complain, it's still good that I still have enemies to kill to ease my boredom. I then looked at the carcasses of the man-eating rats that I have killed which were behind me.

“I am supposed to only kill thirty according to the quest. But do I really have to follow the quest? As far as I can see there is still a lot of these rats. Meh, maybe I would be doing the town a favor if I exterminate all of the rats right now!”

I then dashed deeper towards the sewer lines of the town, with both swords already drawn. As I was running in the sewers I was able to kill every rat that I come in contact with. This was a boring job due to their weak state, but this is better than doing nothing in the INN.

Two hours passed I have cleared the entire sewer of the town. This disappointed me greatly, for I am not doing anything else. After clearing the entire sewer, I then went to collect the magic stone that they drop. Xyra on the other hand, keep count of the rats I have killed.

“You have killed three hundred man-eating rats, sir,” spoke Xyra as I collected the materials dropped by the rats.

“I see, but I wonder how are the others doing in their quest?”

“Are you talking about the Camilla Party, sir?”

“Yes, I'm actually very worried about them, this is the first time that they will do something without me.”

“Are you sure about that sir? Remember they have already done missions together before you even arrived here.”

“I guess you are right about that Xyra, they're not even children in the standard norm of this world.”

“Glad to hear that sir, so let us go back to the guild to exchange these materials for money and call it a day.”

“Yeah let's go!” I replied to Xyra as I put the gathered materials to my inventory. I then started to get out of the sewers after collecting the final materials drop.

Meanwhile, the Camilla adventurer party was now riding a wagon that is traveling on a dirt road. The wagon was quite old and the coachman was almost the same age as his wagon.

“This wagon is too shaky, ” spoke David as he felt every pothole on the road that carriage came across.

“Don't complain, David,” replied Bella to David. “You should be even grateful to the old for giving us a lift towards the village,” added Bella

“Do maidens really disappear there?”

“That's why we are going there to investigate the current situation,” answered Karl to David.

“But if there are g-ghosts...”

“Ara, aren't you a scaredy-cat David. ” teasingly spoke Bellas while she showed a mocking smirk.

“Don't you dare mock me with that smile of yours!”

“Don't worry David, ” spoke Marcia.

“Why wouldn't I have to worry about ghosts? You I am very useless against spiritual enemies, so I have every right to be afraid, especially when I'm the most favorite target .”

“Don't worry about that David, I can always cast holy protection so ghosts wouldn't come near you,” spoke Marcia again towards David.

“Really!”

“Yes, really I promise in my name.”

“Thanks, Marcia you're the only one who's actually nice to me, even your boyfriend is a meanie towards me. You're also not a gorilla woman who will hit me out of nowhere.”

“Who are you calling a meanie!”

“Who are you calling a Gorilla Woman!”

Marcia laughs at the scene unfolding in her front, where David was being ganged up by Karl and Bella.

“Hehe, I wish we could always adventure like this, right Lucy? ” asked Marcia to Lucy who was seating at the rearmost part of the wagon.

“Yes, but I wish we could do it together with mister.”

Marcia then looked above and put her hand on her chin, she then spoke, “Now that I think about it, mister Destroyer is almost a member of our party. He's always been with us especially in the most recent battles we have fought before.”

“He's also the reason those our boys got level boosted, hah, maybe I should have joined the battle with mister during the Megasaurus.” Spoke Lucy to Marcia. “If I did that I would've probably gotten more stringer than before, now the boys are stronger than me by two levels,” added Lucy.

“EH! REALLY!?” yelled Bella, David, Karl, and Marcia in unison after hearing Lucy.

“To think, sticking with Mr. Destroyer boosted our levels than our highest level member, surely surprised me,” spoke Karl.

“Man, I'm so jealous of you two! I should've joined mister Destroyer in the battle early on. I refuse to accept that i***t David is higher level than me now!” spoke Bella as she imitated a child on a tantrum.

“Hey who are you calling i***t!?!”

“You two are surely lucky,” spoke Marcia with a smile.

“Well if it weren't for mister, we wouldn't be able to achieve such a feat on our own. But this for the better us I can protect you now Lucy.” Spoke Karl to Lucy.

“When's the baby-making!?” spoke Bella with a mischievous smile.

“W-what!?”

Marcia who face completely turned red spoke, “B-baby making!? Please don't spout such embarrassing acts, Bella.”

Bella then slowly crawled to Marcia and spoke, “Oh, have you been researching on how to create babies, Marcia. Then you must know how those things are…”

“That's enough Bella your embarrassing Marcia too much,” yelled Karl to Bella.

Bella clicked her tongue after hearing Karl, “Tsk! You two virgins are no fun at all.”

“So you're saying your not a virgin anymore Bella?” spoke Lucy with her expressionless face.

After Lucy spoke Bella suddenly stopped and blushed in embarrassment. She then scratched her cheeks, before speaking, “Well, I'm still a virgin, but you could say I'm very knowledgeable due to me having friends that work in a brothel.”

“Who would even take a gorilla woman to their bed? So it's not surprising that you don't have a boyfriend Bella.” Spoke David with a smug, but suddenly he felt a cold sweat crawling down his spine after speaking those words.

When David looked at Bella, he saw her entire body filled with an immense dark murderous aura pointed towards him. David slowly moved away from Bella, but as he was moving slowly, Bella suddenly spoke.

“Don't you dare try running away from me, David.” Bella's body suddenly released an even more powerful murderous aura as she gazed toward David.

“D-demon” after saying those words David suddenly dashed towards the coachman. But his try for escape was futile as he was immediately grabbed by Bella.

“I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I'm sorry!” yelled David as he was slowly beaten up by Bella.

“Hey, should we stop those two?” asked Marcia.

“No,” answered both Lucy and Karl to Marcia.

After three hours the sun was slowly setting creating an orange color glow that expands through the edges of the horizon. The wagon that the adventurers were in came to a stop near the road.

The coachman of the wagon looked behind his passengers, he then spoke, “We will make a stop right here for the nigh...ZOMBIE!” yelled the coachman as he jumped away from his seat.

Marcia who got out of the wagon immediately rushed to the coachman who was in a state of fear. “Are you okay mister!?”

“Tell your friends to get out of the wagon missy, there is a zombie inside!”

“Z-zombie? Oh, you mean David, don't worry mister that's our friend who just got beaten harshly by Bella.”

“Got beaten by the girl with the bow?”

“Yes, he kinda teased her without control, so Bella wasn't able to control herself.”

“I see now young lady, that actually scared me, so that's what the pounding noise and screams of horror I heard while we were traveling, haha!”

As Marcia and the coachman were talking Karl also got out of the wagon. He then spoke to the coachman, “Were setting up camp here mister?”

“Yes, it's very dangerous to travel during the night on these roads.”

“Then I will gather some firewood mister, Marcia got tell the others to set up our tents.”

David who was completely beaten up and also got out of the wagon, but he didn't get out of the wagon easily as he falls face-first on the ground when he got out, it was due to his body becoming numb after the beating he received from Bella.

Karl let out a sigh and turned asked Marcia, “Heal that i***t, Marcia. We need him to hunt food for dinner.”

Marcia then went near the zombie-like David and cast her spell unto him. “Heal,” uttered Marcia a green-colored magic circle suddenly appeared under David's body.

David suddenly showed a face of bliss after Marcia cast her healing spell. David then stood up and turned to Marcia, “Thank you!” spoke David.

“Hey David, we need food and wood, so let's go together and gather those.”

“Yeah, yeah.”

David and Karl then took off and went to the near forest just beside the road. The girls, on the other hand, started to build two tents. The coachman gathered stones and put them in a circular formation, thus creating a firepit.

Thirty minutes passed...David and Karl who was no inside the forest, both of them were chasing a boar who had a rainbow-colored fur.

“Karl, stun the bloody boar,” yelled David.

“Alright,” retorted Karl to David. He then yelled a skill, “Dash!” Karl's figure then started to become blurry within a millisecond he suddenly disappeared. But as he disappears, he also immediately appeared in front of the escaping boar. Karl immediately yelled another skill after seeing the boar surprised by his sudden appearance.

“Bash!” Karl's shield along with his body immediately dashes towards the boar with incredible speed, hitting the boar directly to its head causing it to be stunned.

“Now David!” yelled Karl.

“Leave it to me, ” replied David as he slashes his sword towards the stunned boar. The boar then released a final squeal before falling down the ground.

David's sword also left a mark on the side of the boar, which was the cause of its death. David then grabbed the boar and carried it to his back. Karl on the other hand carried the woods he tied together using the vines he found. After securing their loads the two immediately walk back to their camp.

“Have you learned a new skill, Karl?” asked David.

“Yeah, it's also the first time I used it, I actually got three more, but I wanted to test that one out. This dash skill of mine is actually helpful in mobility.”

“So you wanted to know if that skill could be a strategy skill for your slow mobility. ”

“You also learned a new skill haven't you, David?”

“Yep, I learned two but I don't want to show it off yet, but I know it might become handy in the future.”

The two have finally returned to the camp and the rainbow-colored boar was now on top of the fire-pit. It's fur, on the other hand, was given to the coachman as a thank you for allowing them to hitch a ride.

“Wow that smells delicious,” spoke Bella.

“Of course it would smell good miss, as your heavy knight here found some good spices in the forest. I never thought that he had a good eye for spices.” Spoke the coachman.

“I remember you told us, that your father runs a restaurant business in the capital, right Karl? ”

“Yes, he has been running a restaurant after retiring from his work. I have watched my father cooked every day so I have so it's normal for me to identify wild spices.”

“Hey Marcia, you sure caught a perfect man, not only his good looking but he knows to cook,” spoke Bella to Marcia.

“Please stop teasing Marcia, Bella,” spoke Karl.

“Fine, Mr. Lover boy,” replied Bella to Karl.

“It's cooked now, ” spoke the coachman. He then grabbed a dagger and took a slice of the boar. The adventurers then grabbed a wooden plate, the coachman then gave Marcia the first slice.

Marcia then took a bite of the meat, she suddenly had a sense of bliss written all over her face. “D-delicious! The sweet taste contrasting the peppery taste of the meat is amazing.”

“Mister can I have a slice,” spoke Bella as she gave the coachman her wooden plate.

“It's truly delicious,” yelled Bella after taking a bite of the food.

The others also had their slices and started to eat, the delicious meat in front of them.

“We will arrive at the village tomorrow night,” spoke the coachman after chewing his food.

“Hey, mister have you heard about the disappearing maidens in that village?” asked Karl.

“No, I haven't been back to that village for almost a month now, but I heard rumors about a mysterious figure capturing those maidens at night.”

“Mysterious figure?”

“Well, I heard that the figure only shows up at night and captures maiden who is aged 16 to 20. Not only that but the people who claimed saw the figure will hear a creepy laugh in the rooms of the maiden. They say the laugh was unsettling that it even sends shivers down your spine. When you go towards the room of the maiden targetted by the mysterious figure you will notice a sudden change of temperature, and when you arrive at the maiden's room you will hear a knocking noise on the floor...”

“Please enough with the scary stories please!” yelled David. “I'm going to bed now, thinking about that figure. ”

“Scaredy-Cat David,” spoke Bella.
