EPISODE 35- Fighting Fear

Lucy trembled as she lost hope after seeing the upcoming attack of the enemy. Her expressionless face has finally shown emotions for the first time. Tears slowly dripped down her cheeks as she screamed with desperation and fear for help.

Because of mixed emotions of fear and desperation, Lucy finally entered a state where everything slowed down and past memories return. People would put it this way, your life flashes before your eyes. Lucy then started remembering and reliving her most important past.

“What's this? Where am I?” Asked Lucy herself, she then looked at her hand, “This toy, I have given it to mister. Wait? This room is my room when I was a kid.”

Suddenly the door to Lucy's room opened, and a man who had the same purple hair as Lucy. The man walked towards Lucy and spoke as he carried a tray filled with food. “How are you feeling, Lucy?” the man then looked at Lucy's hand holding a toy. “I know you love the toy I made, but you should not put it near you when sleeping.”

This man, I remember now, you are my big brother. “Lucas big brother, this toy is too important for me, I couldn't possibly…”

“Hey Lucy, you know, I always hope that you would live a happy life when I'm gone. Make sure that you will be able to achieve your goals before God, take you away from this world.”

Lucy suddenly looked at the toy and spoke “My goals? Oh right to become the most powerful assassin class adventurer in the world.” Lucy then changed her gaze from the toy and looked at her brother, suddenly tears slowly dropped down Lucy's cheeks.

“Is there a problem, Lucy?” asked her brother with a smile.

Lucy then answered her brother as she cried, “I'm so s-sorry big brother Lucas, I can't do that anymore. B-because I'm a-about to...to…”

Suddenly Lucas held Lucy's head and spoke, “No, it's not your time yet, God has pitied humans many occasions, I'm sure he has always pitied a good girl like you.”

The scene suddenly changes back to the current world. The crawler's claw was just only centimeters away from dealing with the final blow towards Lucy. But as Lucy closed her eyes to wait for her demise. She suddenly noticed that it has already a few seconds passed by and she hasn't felt the claw penetrate her skull. “Wait I'm not dead yet, but with that distance and speed, I should have been dead by now, or I should have felt pain.”

These then caused her curiosity, to open her eyes and see what was happening to her attacker. But what she so was not her attacker, but the familiar back of a person who she has known many times.

“M-mister Destroyer!”

“Yo- Lucy…you were almost close to meet death right there if I would have taken longer in locating you three.”

Lucy then started to cry as she saw me, she then uttered, “Mwester.” To tell you the truth, it was very strange to see Lucy cry. Though it was strange, I still cannot forgive the one who made her cry.

This strange oily black hairy creature with oily human skin is the one who made her cry. Then this creepy thing will pay, for making the coolest member of the Camilla Party cry.

“Mister Destroyer, I'm so happy you are here suddenly,” yelled David as he cried with tears of joy.

I looked at David and yelled, “Will you stop crying, David. Geez, you look like an orangutan when crying. This really creeps me out, so please stop doing that face.”

Karl suddenly yelled important information about the creature I'm facing.“Mister, watch out for that beast! That thing just reconnects it's body parts like nothing happened to it.”

I then looked at the hand that was about to kill Lucy, it was also the same hand that I had cut before. I looked at the monster I has now sworn to chop into bits. The monsters right wrist where his hand was connected before, suddenly created a shadow black tentacle. It was wriggling creepily that it became very unsightly in my eyes.

Tentacle then grabbed the hand that I had chopped off and pulled it back to the worst where the tentacle came out. It then reconnects the chopped off hand together with the entire arm.

“Mister that's how he reconnects his dismembered body p-parts...” Karl's speech was suddenly cut after seeing the next event. ”Eh!?!” Karl yelled with a surprised face and a look of disbelief.

The hand that was being reconnected suddenly fell back to the ground. This was the reason for Karl's confusion and look of disbelief. Even David had a surprised looked at the hand that has failed off.

“Hey Karl, shouldn't that hand be now reconnected back to its arm?” asked David to Karl.

I answered David instead of Karl, “No, it will not reconnect anymore David.” This caused David to have a confused looked, the monster in front of me had the same reaction as David.

“How is that possible mister!?!” asked David who has now scratched his head.

“Simple I burned his cells using these twin katanas of mine, which is still basically the sword of Sol Invictus, that just separated from each other.”

“Cell?? Sol Invictus? What's the heck are those?” asked David to me with a stupid look on his face.

“It's too complex for a monkey-like you to understand David, so explaining it to you is still useless. But I will tell you a simplified version, so a monkey-like you could understand.”

“Who are you calling a monkey!” yelled David as he had a look of an angry orangutan. But I ignored David's tantrum and spoke the simplified explanation.

“It goes like this, the cell I am talking about is the thing that probably helps this thing regenerate or reconnect his body. But when those cells become carbonized, or in simple words burned and cooked, they wouldn't be able to regenerate.”

Karl suddenly spoke, “Wait burned, are you saying those twin swords of yours, mister, have the affinity to create fire. Thus when you sliced his hand off you have ‘crabonized’ the cells in his wrist.”

“That is correct, Karl,” I answered, but I immediately launched myself forward to attack the monsters. However, the monster instead of running away chose to also charge toward me with an enraged look.

“So you hate me that much? Then killing you would be easier than what I expected.” The creature then attacks me with its remaining left hand. I was expecting the monster to be more challenging as it made Lucy cry.

But, “how disappointing that I have to deal with a small fry like you!” I immediately evaded the beast's incoming attack by just moving slightly to my left. I then retaliated by cutting his arm off in one swift swing.

Causing the creature to be taken by surprise, and seemed to only get angrier at me. It then launches another attack towards me, making it a very foolish monster. Then I'll end you with the skill I have developed myself, “Pizza Slice,” I then sliced the monster with my twin katana. But the speed was too fast for the human eyes to see, so I looked like I was just standing still. Even though I used my katanas to slice the monster which just passed me.

“Did something happened!?!” asked David to Karl as he saw the creature stopped moving. But Karl did not answer David, he instead just stood there and watched. David was kinda irritated after Karl didn't answer his question causing him to click his tongue.

However, when David looked at the petrified creature, it suddenly had its torso sliced in a V shape formation. Blood then started to squirt out of the wounds of the creature. If a modern person would see this. He would be instantly reminded of a pizza slice only more gruesome. As he can see internal organs that are very similar to the human body.

David and Karl's jaw almost dropped after seeing the creature they can not defeat, was brought down by Destroyer in mere seconds. Lucy, on the other hand, was wiping her tears and the blood that had splattered all over her body.

I looked at Lucy who seems to be fine now, I immediately asked as she finished cleaning herself. “Have you always been hiding your emotions, Lucy?”

Lucy looked at me and gave a timid nod, but I held her head and spoke, “Then keep the emotionless expression in front of the people. But please show your true feelings, to your friends who you could trust and not keep those emotions to yourself. However, also keep that emotionless face of yours when in battle, cause you looked very cool.” I then showed her a thumbs up.

Lucy's face suddenly turned red and she also hugged me as she cried in my torso due to her short height. “Hey! Hey! Your snot don't rub it in my armor, Lucy.”

As I was trying to get Lucy to stop hugging me, Xyra suddenly spoke. “Sir, I suggest you stop naming your attacks. You don't even have to yell any attack name, as all of it is done by the mechanical body and internal system. Also, your skill naming is pretty lame and weird, who would even call a skill Pizza Slice.”

“Shut up Xyra, I also wanted to yell out my skills, like how the other adventurers yell out their skill. I have been jealous of those cool skill names for quite a while now, so don't speak badly about my preference in naming my skill.”

“But you do know you aren't actually using any skills do you? Also, why did you even call that attack Pizza Slice?”

“Well you got better names for it Xyra!?! Also, I named it Pizza Slice because that attack reminds me of a pizza slice.”

“In fact, yes, I would have called it the triad s***h! Wait why am I even naming your attack sequence.”

Karl suddenly spoke, “Mister Destroyer we should hurry, we still have to save Bella and Marcia, along with the kidnapped girls.” This caught my attention causing me to look at him to ask, “Bella and Marcia were captured? Why didn't you tell me this when I defeated the monster?”

I immediately went inside the cave along with the three remaining members of the Camilla Adventurer party. But as we entered the cave Xyra suddenly spoke to me, “Sir, high energy pressure has been detected inside this cave, located about three hundred meters away from this position.”

David noticed my sudden change in expression, even though I don't have any face he was able to identify it. “So you have felt the evil presence mister, that's coming from the deepest part of this cave?” Asked David to me.

“Five crawlers incoming! ” suddenly yelled Karl who was taking our front. I immediately pulled my .50 cal pistol and fired at the crawlers, which is about ten meters away from us.

I immediately fired five shots towards the upcoming enemies.*Bang!* *Bang!* *Bang!* *Bang!* *Bang!*, all of those shot was a perfect headshot. After firing those shots we immediately passed the now headless crawlers whose head was blown up by my pistol.

“Wow, mister your that weapon of yours is truly amazing!” spoke Karl as he continued to run while looking at my pistol. “But don't you have a bigger one that could fire continuously?”

“Oh that, I hid it, because I actually wanted to try my swordsmanship skills for once. ” Instead of Karl speaking, David was the one who commented.

“You truly are amazing mister, your array of mastery of differed weapons is truly amazing. I wish everyone could be like you, mister.”

“David, everyone could be like me, if they train like me, so don't lose hope. You might be even able to surpass me in the future.” That's what I said, however 50% of what I said was a lie, but I'm pretty sure everyone could use a variety of weapons when they train hard enough.

We then continued to dash further deeper in the cave. As we got farther we suddenly heard two voices chanting an unfamiliar language. One voice seemed to belong to a old one, and the other definitely belonged to a demon.

As we got further and further we finally saw a crimson aura, which made the three adventures to feel unsettling vibe. Xyra even observed the increase of heart beats of the three people with me.

We then walked closer to the eerie glow, until we saw two figures.“Energy pressure source detected,” interrupted Xyra as we saw two unknown figures chanting in an unknown language.
