She can’t see him, and her actions flow as they did that day. Time in her dreams is different from what actually happened, and it jumps ahead to where she tasted the bitter witch blood. She looks up to the spot where she always sees him watching her, but he isn’t there.
Her dream jumps back to her father’s look of hurt in his eyes when he thought she had betrayed them, and again she tries her best to concentrate on her surroundings.
