Chapter 2September 1988. The second time Mike died, and then came back to life, everyone else in his community was dying, so no one but a priest noticed the miracle. And even he didn’t speak about it. AIDS was the obvious villain this time around, but so was Regan. So were the nurses and doctors who quit their posts, forgetting everything about the Hippocratic oath.
