Chapter Nine Wolf woke Rigger early the next morning, ready to go outside. The puppy was finally housebroken, and Rigger didn’t want the dog to backslide into his old habit of making little puddles on the floor. He dressed quietly and went to the kitchen, with Wolf at his heels. He started a pot of coffee, enough for two. It would be ready when they came back in, then maybe he and Katrina could have a little talk. The sun wasn’t up yet, but the dark clouds showed patches of gray. Snow continued to fall, and more than twelve inches had accumulated.
