CHAPTER FIVE
The footsteps had almost caught up now, echoing loudly in her ears. Heavy breathing made her think of a wolf pursuing her in the forest. She had always found the story of Little Red Riding Hood terrifying.
“Leave me alone!” she shouted.
“That’s a hell of a thank you for all the things I’ve done for you,” Daniel huffed behind her.
“What happened to them?”
“Pushed them all in a big heap. They aren’t far behind.”
“You pushed a priest?” Remi said, laughing.
