Chapter 10 He just stood there for the longest time, hands deep in his pockets and looking pretty much everywhere but at me. Which was just as well, as I was still fumbling at the back of my hoodie. Finally, I got it pulled up enough to tuck my wand in underneath it and smoothed it back down just as he finally looked my way. "I know it's late, but I thought I heard someone moving around back here, and I thought I'd take the chance it was you," he said. "It's me," I said. Now that I had my wand hidden my hands were suddenly acutely aware that they had nothing in particular to do. I touched my hair and realized that I had done nothing with it since getting soaked in the rain earlier and it probably looked a fright.
