“ME!?” she exclaimed dubiously. “Dorian, you can’t be serious!?”
“I was about to say the same thing!” Sam ululated. “Boss, don’t get me wrong, Allie’s good and all, but she doesn’t have the slightest idea of running a team, let alone leading them on a mission.”
“Exactly!” Gizmo agreed while pointing at Sam.
“Baby, weren’t you looking for an excuse to fight Katana the other day?” Dorian questioned her.
“That’s different! I just wanted to blow some steam.”
“Well, you can blow all of your steam if you join a team of fighters. Besides, you’re the only one with enough authority to command Sam’s team. They’re trained to obey anyone higher than them in the pack hierarchy. You’re literally at the top of that hierarchy,” Dorian explained calmly.
