Usually, the outline needs to achieve the following objectives: 1. Background.  To explain the premise on which the story is set.  2. Important characters.  Describing the main character and other important supporting characters is essential to the story's development and character arcs. 3. Plots.  When constructing the plot, consider using this order: Prologue, Beginning, Development, c****x, Ending, and Epilogue. This sequence helps to build dramatic tension and move the plot forward in a clear and engaging manner. 01 Background The background of your story mainly includes the time and location, which must correspond to and support your character and plot.  For example, The Lycan King's Mate (by Bridget Marie) is set in the world of imaginary modern royalty and werewolves. Two kinds of background (a) Basic on fiction To create an imaginative background for your story, you can invent elements such as the character's species (werewolf, dragon, witch, vampire, fairy, mermaid, demon), abilities, weaknesses, and setting, without the need to adhere to factual information, historical context, or common sense.   For instance, in a fantasy story, the heroine could be a witch with the ability to control the elements, but with the weakness of her powers draining quickly when she overuses her abilities..... (b) Basic on reality Background based on reality is easier for readers to empathize with and for writers to create. Contemporary settings are closer to our everyday lives but can be less flexible, while ancient times may be more captivating to readers but require more historical research and accuracy. For instance, if your story is set in the Victorian era, certain norms, customs, and values of that time can affect your characters and plot, thereby creating a more engaging and believable story. Overall, the background should support and enhance your story's plotline and characters by adding depth and realism to their world. Tips: Utilize your personal life, experiences, and understanding of your chosen career or industry to add depth and authenticity to your writing. Take inspiration from the general conventions used in similar novels. While fantasy novels may not strictly follow reality, drawing parallels from historical events or current news can enhance the believability and effectiveness of world-building for readers. 02 Important characters To create a fully developed character, focus on their personality and experiences, especially how they relate to other characters, to ensure that they fit seamlessly into the story.   The external parts, such as physical appearance and customs, can add depth and help readers create a vivid image of the protagonist.  By creating a character arc, you can show how the character changes and grows throughout the story, which adds a level of depth and complexity to the character.  Tips: (a)Character list: You have the option to outline your characters' hobbies, interests, motivations, goals, conflicts, and background information to develop them more thoroughly. Example: Main character: Grace Species: Werewolf, omega Hobbies: Playing guitar,cooking Motivations: Gain the respect of others Goals: To become a pack leader and enact change for the betterment of werewolf society Conflicts: Feels boxed in by the pack's strict rules  (b) Relationship diagram: Utilizing a tree-like "Mind map" visualization can help clarify the connections between characters and reorganize them if necessary. (c)Create distinctions: Don't forget to give your protagonists realistic shortcomings or flaws and incorporate them into the plot or emotional conflict between them to add depth and authenticity. These flaws can be psychological or physical in nature.  Example: A perfect billionaire, he is indeed handsome, rich, and elegant, with all the trappings of success.   But a car accident left him with disabled legs. 03 Plots  Plots are a series of connected incidents that work to describe the theme of the story. A complete plot should include the beginning, development, turning point, c****x, and resolution of the story. (a) Identity differences between characters （1)Setting up obstacles to the identity of the main characters, by utilizing factors such as social status, personal ambitions, or past experiences, can create a story rich in obstacles and depth. Example 1: A heroine who grew up abused and enslaved, and the love of her life is a man of the highest status who has everything. What obstacles will they encounter?  What kind of growth will the characters have to go through to be together? Example 2: She is the noble werewolf princess, while he is the most handsome warrior. When the princess steps into love, she finds out that his true identity is actually the king of an enemy country, and everything is an elaborate deception set up by him.  How will she be able to defend her country?  How is he going to have her body and ture love? （2）Creating well-developed characters with distinct personalities and backgrounds. Example: Male Protagonist, an alpha werewolf, is an elite member of his pack. He is standoffish and reclusive, hardened from years of duty to his pack. Female Protagonist, is a human girl. She is passionate and curious about the unknown world. When she stumbles upon his pack, she is forced to confront her prejudices and misconceptions about werewolves. (b) Cause and effect Each incident must be well linked with some cause and effect, because everything happens for a reason or many reasons to create a cohesive narrative. Gradual pacing can help make the story flow smoothly and keep it engaging for the reader. Example: Incident: I meet my first love again Incident with cause and effect that shall called plot: Years later, I returned to town with my child and met my first love at the airport, who had come to pick up his girlfriend. He didn't know that my child was also his. --- Year of Goodbyes(by_Phoenix) (c) Dramatic conflict General modes of a novel： have a goal-encounter difficulty-make, an effort to overcome the problem-achieve the result By depicting a protagonist's strong desire to succeed and their journey through challenging obstacles, a dramatic conflict can arise. Example: The heroine is Luna. After marriage, her husband meets his omega mate and brings her back to the pack. The heroine dies from the omega's assassination, and then she is reborn. She goes back to the time when her husband just brought back the Omega.  To change her fate, she tries to drive away the omega but fails.  She was completely disappointed with her husband and turned to the Lycan king to ask for help. --- The Perfect Luna(by_Marissa Gilbert) Tips:  a) Present incidents in proper chronological order, particularly when using techniques such as narration interspersed with flashbacks or starting from the end. This arrangement helps to connect the story's various plots and highlight the relationships between the characters. b) Avoiding a plot full of only happy events. Instead, it should include tense situations that challenge the characters and create unpredictability in the plot.  This could include conflicts with both other characters and internal emotional struggles. By introducing obstacles and unexpected twists, readers are more engaged and invested in the story and the protagonist's journey towards resolution.
