"I want this more than I have ever wanted anything before."
Natalie looks back at herself in the mirror while a smile tugs on her lips. She has replayed her conversation with Brendan for what feels like a hundred times already. She didn't know what to expect when he asked to go for a walk. After a very silent ride from school and her avoiding him altogether, she felt an argument coming on but he surprised her.
He said all the right things and her heart felt like it was going to burst with joy if he said anymore.
"He wants this, he wants this, he wants this." With eyes closed those words leave her mouth many times over as if she is looking to have them imprinted on both her heart and mind.
"Babe are you okay in there?" Brendan asks from behind the closed shower door.
"Yes I'm okay."
