Jake knew Holly had thrown a few parties at the house before he rented a room from her, but since he’d moved in, things had quieted down. Whether it was because Holly was an upperclassman now and more focused on her studies, or because their other roomie Michelle worked odd hours as an intern at the ER, or because now Jake accompanied Holly to the gay bars downtown and they spent less time home on the weekends, he didn’t know. But a house party would be fun. At least he wouldn’t have far to stagger when he got too drunk to stay on his feet. His bed would be just upstairs. And hopefully he wouldn’t be sleeping in it alone.
