Chapter 3 Another waiter, Jimmy, in his forties, approached Mikhail while they waited for the first seating passengers to arrive. He offered his hand. “Hi, I’m Jimmy, from Vancouver, B.C.” They shook. He had a firm grip, offering a friendly smile and nod. “I’m Mikhail, from San Jose, California. Nice to meet you. This is an awesome ship.” Jimmy grinned. “They only hire the best. You must have impressed them, and you’re so young. Maybe I ask your age?” “Thirty, but I’ve worked in restaurants sixteen years.” Jimmy blurted, “I saw what happened in the back. Obviously, you and Solomon have history.” The smile ran away from Mikhail’s face. He slowly nodded. “I don’t want to interfere, but don’t let it affect job performance. The supervisors will notice. Solomon’s my friend, a good man.”
