Chapter 14: Dice and Falling Jarr was working the afternoon shift at Cupcakes. He picked up a shift here and there, which always ended up being a total of twenty hours per week—unpaid, of course. David and Richter made it up to him in different ways. His rent was cheap and he could take a birthday cake to a relative or friend when he needed to.
