It is silent in the Jaw that night with me alone sitting on Malva's bed. He had walked out to have dinner with his family, leaving a promise to never delay, but glancing at the wall clock now tells me he is away for over two hours. I wonder what is taking him so long. But while waiting for the man himself to arrive, I was worried about how to deal with my emotions when he emerged. As I sat on the massive bed in the dim room, many thoughts ran through my mind.
