Louisa woke up to the coppery smell of blood.
Her body no longer felt weak and in pain, surprising her with the sudden rush of energy. She felt like she could do anything, punch into the wall, break the door, or beat anyone. The energy was too much.
But she couldn't start doing all those useless things when the room was filled with the smell of blood, alerting her to the fact that something was not right.
She shot up from her bed and looked around at the bodies scattered on the floor, her heart thumbing wildly.
