It never occurred to any of them that she would want to know more about the man.

There were a lot of things indicating that he was lying.
"Why don't you want to tell me the truth?" She asked in a calm tone.
Andrew hadn't talked to any of them about the incident, so James wasn't sure if it was safe to tell Louisa the truth about the man or not. He was afraid he would get into trouble by revealing stuff Andrew wasn't ready for her to find out.
