He still left the TV on, of course—although he did so now to keep Sadie company rather than to take the edge off a lonesome apartment—and his solitude still got to him on occasion, especially now that the holidays were in full swing, but, mostly, he was just enjoying his little experiment in cat ownership—more so than he would have guessed.
