Ninety minutes later, Mallory hit the streets. She’d used the time she’d spent getting ready wisely, formulating a plan, thinking through different possibilities and outcomes, and therefore giving herself the best chance of success.
In her experience, all the intelligence in the world didn’t compare to actually being on the ground and seeing where her targets operated. But she wasn’t going to just wander in to Coster Diamonds, the premier diamond hotspot in the city, empty-handed. It was just up the street from the hotel, which also happened to be near to lots of designer shops. Dior, Chanel and Louis Vuitton were just a few of the businesses that had premises in the area.
