Chapter Six- The Red Eye

1702 Words
It could have been so easy to either remain in the armoire and keep motionless or bust out from the doors and run away into the night. The events that would unfold in the following moments would change her life forever no matter what her action would have been. But as she thought of returning to her children, she also thought of the fact that Conner could have killed her when given the chance, he could have done the job asked of him and left their bodies to be found by their children. The thought was horrifying to her, and feeling as though she owed something to Conner, she moved out quietly from the armoire, taking hold of the lamp from beside the bed and using it to knock out the figure who came so close to killing Conner. His fingers sat upon his neck, rubbing where the chord had set capable of ending his life before looking to Gemma in surprise. He knew that she could have remained put and simply wait for his death to be “free”, but he had simply given her a nod before rising from the ground and towards her.  “We need to leave…” He informed as she nodded, desperate to break away from this place as she felt as though she had been surrounded by death since her arrival. Due to this, she packed quickly as Conner arranged for the man to be handcuffed to the bed in case he were to try and awaken, otherwise, he was positioned to where he appeared to be a jilted lover left in a precarious situation for a maid to find him. Neither scenes would be seen as they managed to pack up and leave the area before he would awaken. “I need you to go straight to the car waiting outside under “monroe”, don’t talk to anyone, don’t look at anyone-if you have to, be cold to them. Do nothing to be memorable.” He ordered while standing to prepare to check out of the room and she nodded, knowing that it was better to listen to him-or otherwise fear the repercussions of her having denied his directions.  She made her way into the car, evading eye contact of the valet driver and the limousine driver waiting outside before being joined by Conner who arrived a handful of minutes later. He spoke in spanish to the driver in the front before sliding into the door beside her, and the car being set into motion. Fearing that they would be overheard in the plethora of questions that still remained against him, Gemma knew better than to ask them as other eyes and ears had the potential of learning what they had been discussing. At the off chance that they would be caught or had been already lead on to, they remained the role of an amorous couple, even playing the role ‘off camera’ at times as they would flirt and speak dirty to each other.  Breaking the silence as they pulled up to the airport, Conner slid his lips to her ear, allowing his hot breath to fill her sense of hearing. Her eyes came to a close to the sensual nature of how he was able to speak to her as the words left his plump and moistened lips, being tempting enough to turn and kiss at any second.  “See how easily things go forward when you listen to me?” He asked as his fingers reached to her knee, sliding closer and closer to her core while teasing her with words dripping with sexuality. “Remind me to thank you later on when we don’t have company.” He then pulled himself from the car and away from her before extending his hand for her to follow him from the car. His fingers remained interlaced in hers while he led her from the vehicle and to the back of the car where their luggage was waiting for them on a small push-cart.  “That isn’t our stuff…” She spoke quietly to Conner as he looked to her cautiously before thanking the driver and resuming his pathway inside. Having entered, Conner moved directly to the front desk, finding there to be no lines, before obtaining two airline tickets, coach red-eyes, to Pennsylvania. The destination, having remained somewhat of a mystery to her, she played along with a kind smile before they were then set on the path to weight luggage, go through the metal detector, and become patted down before finally allowed to board their plane.  With it having been a red eye, it was rather vacant, yet the passengers on board with them had been a mix of different personalities set upon one joined location. The majority of the passengers had been spread around the plane, leaving several empty seats between each other, even making it seem as though purposely chosen to be sporadic, as Conner and Gemma took their seats in the center row.  The flight attendant began to offer then peanuts, drinks, and blankets and pillows, leading for Conner to ask for one of everything before being left alone with his traveling companion.  “The suitcases exchanged are for Mr and Mrs Maddox.” He informed her as he broke the otherwise silent space between them. He spoke low enough to not be overheard, but loud enough to be acknowledged by Gemma. “We are going to be going to an auction...and we need to seem interested in a piece while going for lot 26B...it’s a necklace worth more than the hotel we were just at…” “Okay.” He paused for a moment. “You aren’t going to inquire about anything else?” “No.” She spoke calmly. “I think it’s best if I don’t ask…” She continued as his eyes looked to her, pleased while the flight attendant had returned with the items ordered. Both Gemma and Conner were given a vodka and tonic drink, a package of peanuts, and a blanket to share before pillows were shown to be in a compartment by the base of the seats. Pulling out her table, he set her drink upon it before giving her a smile. His lips moved to her ear, having managed to deliver goosebumps throughout her body to his words.  “I believe I owe you a thank you…” He spoke as he set the blanket over both of their laps and under the table, giving double protection from being seen. Having had a water, he dipped his fingers into it without it being noticed by Gemma until his touch moved to beneath her table. Her breath hitched upon feeling him begin to rub on the exterior of her dress, making it impossible to cross her legs with the table but desperate to add to the pleasure as she felt risque and dangerous by having done something so publicly.  “But we have company…” She spoke lowly, recalling his promise to “thank her” without company. He smirked at this while bringing his lips closer to her, forcing his touch to deepen upon her as her lips came open enough to force her to bite her lip to avoid moaning.  “Do you want me to stop?” He asked as she shook her head ‘no’. However, Conner had decided to play the role of a lengthened lover, having slowly pleasured her so she would be forced to begin to perspire and become so aroused to nearly finish herself off then and there. He managed to pleasure her for about an hour, breaking when she would come close to her orgasm, before stopping and resuming when she would grip hard onto his wrist-embracing the incredibly thorough moment.  “Don’t...stop...again….” She spoke through the attempts to remain quiet as he smirked, finally speeding up his touch to allow her to come right then and there before those around them and beneath the noses of the perfectly polished attendants. She had remained present with his touch having stayed inside of her, swirling around to achieve maximum climax, before withdrawing and then using purell on his fingers.  Before she knew it, the plane was set to land and she made her way along with Conner before having retrieved their luggage from the belt and moving to the Pennsylvanian ground. It seemed a mix of city life and rural country as there hadn’t been a large amount of souls or buildings, but enough to remind them of life having been present here. They ignored everyone within their paths with words, forcing there to be only smiles in exchange for the duties made of them before they were brought before the extent of a stunning hotel. Somehow more beautiful than the one before, they stood outside with their luggage before Conner paused.  “We are celebrating our ten year anniversary.” He began to speak. “I am going to buy you a painting and you are here trying to decide which one. Simply make nice with those we sit by and talk about the fact we go on European vacations to Italy every year but wanted to do something unique since it is our tenth…” “Simple enough…” She spoke as he smirked, surprised by her having seemed to be so easygoing with the recent requests and demands made of her.  “I cannot tell if you’re mocking me.” He spoke with a scoff.  “I’ve just realized that it is pointless trying to go up against you. Besides...if I am rewarded...I believe that gives me something to look forward to if I behave.” He smirked, holding her face softly towards his via her cheek. “I only want you to misbehave with me.” He spoke, making her blush before they ventured into the hotel-under the persona of being Mr and Mrs Maddox.
