Light Within

First Quest

After clicking Yes, both Astral and Haiz move forward, shielding the girl from any damages. The monsters are attacking from every side, which causes both of them to lose focus. "Say Astral, got any skills?", asked Haiz while blocking every attack with his dagger. Although his weaponry is small, it helps him from getting a direct hit. Astral, who also used her short staff to block the attack, answered with hast, "What skills?". Then, they both realize that they are still beginners, so no one knows how to use skills. Astral keeps blocking the attack, but one of the monsters manage to hurt her right arm. "Are you okay, Astral?", asking Haiz, as they both do not have any potions with them. Astral whines in pain, but she keeps her stance. Her Health Point (HP) is also going down because of that attack. She holds her injured arm, while repeatedly enchanting, "please heal, please heal, please heal..". Suddenly, a white-faint light appears from Arial's left palm. The injured slowly faded and her HP bar increased back. A System Prompt message popped out: "You learned Heal: recover a small amount of HP". Astral attacks back the monsters and manage to go back-to-back with Haiz. "Haiz, are you okay? I somehow get a skill. Wait, Heal!", enchanted Astral, the word as she supports Haiz, defending the line. "I see. So that's how we learn skills.", Haiz quietly observed the event that happened with Astral. Seeing the monsters distracted with the Astral's healing, Haiz took that opportunity and sneakily went behind one of the monsters and gave a fatal blow. "Take that!", shouted Haiz as he manages to kill one. A System Prompt popped out, "You learned Sneak Attack: Immediately went behind an enemy and deal massive damage, if the enemy was unnoticed". Haiz smirked, as he went for one by one of the monsters with his new skill while Astral keeps up with the supporting.

"Are you ready, Astral?"                                                                   

"Let's do this."

            The intense battle between both Astral and Haiz finally come to an end, after they manage to complete the quest, Level 3, which was written in the pop-up earlier. "We surely do skip level 2 now.", said Haiz, tiredly while both of them lean by themselves back to back. Fighting monsters when you were about to play as a beginner, sounds crazy, yet they both did it. "Say, didn't we got something from the quest?", Astral mentioned it, as the quest seems a bit hard than a normal one. They both realize a medium-sized chest at the same spot where the NPC-girl left. "Shall we open it?", asked Haiz, indicating that he wants to open it with Astral. They both open the chest and found out a robe, a cloak, a dagger and a flame-emblem crescent ring. "Haiz, you can have them. You have done much damage than I do.", suggested Astral, as she felt that she not contributed enough to deserve the item. Haiz took out the robe and the ring, and he handed it to Astral. "You know, without your Heal skill, I can't get my Sneak skill. So, this is for you.", Haiz stated the reason. Though Astral hesitated at first, she gladly accepted it, "Shall we equip it?", Astral suggested as she was excited to receive her first gear.

            Gear: Ivory Robe (+10 Int)

                         Scarlett Ring (Recover 10% of HP)

"That cloak looks good on you, Haiz", as Astral realized that Haiz already equipped the gear. "Yeah, it gives me 5% of evading attack chances. I likely will get to dodge any attacks now, suits my playstyle," explained Haiz. "Anyways, got to go.", responded Haiz as he stood up. "My sister is going to end me when she found out I was busy playing the game when I should studying.", explained Haiz, "See you later." Astral waved and said: "Bye, Haiz!". Haiz logged out. Suddenly, Astral remembered that she did not register Haiz as her friend. "Oh, I forgot to add him to my friend list."

            Astral continued to explore the forest, to gain new skills, whether spells or profession, she wants to learn something in the game. "Oh, I gain Fishing I", as she wanders around the lake to fish. "With Mining I, I can mine some copper ores. Better keep this to upgrade my gears later.", thought Astral as she goes deeper into the cave.  "When I fight several monsters, I learn some new skills. That's enough for today time to log out."

            Katherine took off the helmet and gloves and put it on the table. "That was fun.", saying Katherine to herself, as she already lands on her bed. She grabs her smartphone and searches for anything related to Eternal Quest. A web-cafe, which share lots of things about the game, caught Katherine's attention, as the information about Top Ranked Players, Easter Eggs and Secret spot shared there. "Oh, they also mentioned special quests. Sounds interesting.", mumbled Katherine as her eyes, glued to her smartphone. "Let's see, if a player manages to complete the quest, without a single failure, a unique series of gears, rewarded for them. Woah! I need to get that, but, where can I find this special quest? Nobody ever mentioned bout it online.", fussed Katherine, when she was about to get pumped for nothing. "Never mind. I will try to find it later. Can't wait for Claire to join me later".  Katherine was about to scroll for more until she realized, it was already 3 in the morning. "Oh no! I need to sleep. I save the rest in the morning. Yawn~". Katherine switched off the light and put on the night light with some soothing melody. Though her mind felt tired from the Virtual-Reality journey, she felt satisfied. It was a long time since she quitted playing video games. Giving a chance to play again, she gladly took it.
