I woke up and smiled, I could feel and smell Helios' all around me. His leg was wrapped over mine and his head on my chest. I loved waking up and feeling every inch of his body on mine, cradling me in a cocoon of warmth, love and safety. I looked down at him and brushed my hand through his tangled hair. He murmured happily and snuggled closer.
It was so hard to watch him fight after the explosion last night. I knew he was still hurt but he wouldn’t let me heal him fully. He was more worried about me than himself. I felt every hit he took on my body and when the wolfsbane went into his chest, I thought I would pass out from the burning pain. I don’t know how he managed to get through the pain and kill Shane.
