"No s**t," Arai whispered softly. Honestly, she didn't know how to explain it either.
Even the atmosphere around her was affected after that incident as if everyone was trying to find out from her what had happened to Harriet. Just because she was close to Harriet…everyone treated her like a new source of information and gossip.
So did Penelope. Just a few days ago, she was furious because someone said that it made sense that Harriet killed Cecilia, considering that Harriet killed her mother too. Even though Penelope had never been angry with rumors before.
"What did they say?" asked Harriet.
Arai slowly told Harriet about some of the rumors circulating. But Arai didn't expect that Harriet just laughed softly at that.
"Well, let them talk like that."
