The story took every bit of Gracie and Mark’s layover to tell. They took turns so they could both eat while they were recounting how they joined forces to find the man who had snatched Gracie as a baby, then accidentally kidnapped Mark as well.
Olivia kept her focus on the story, although she also took note of the loving way they treated each other, the way both were always thinking about the other’s comfort and well-being. It was sweet, and so completely the opposite of her horrid marriage.
She also noticed how close Jake and Gracie seemed to be. She obviously admired her older brother, and what’s more, she trusted him. That meant a lot to Olivia, who treasured her own brother so much. A guy trusted by his sister gained major points in her eyes.
