“You there, Mace?” Jessi yells in my ear. I don’t have my headset, so I have to put her on speaker. I might be a sixth-year senior, but that doesn’t mean I’m an unsafe driver.
“Yeah. What you want?”
“I wasn’t sure you’d really do it.”
“Really do what? Drive out to Orchard Grove? Course I would.”
