I was panicking, running as fast as my legs could carry me, trying to get away from them before they got a hold of me. I noticed they were running after me and I was trying hard to make sure that they didn't get a hold of me.
“I think I saw her around the area,” I heard a voice from afar.
My heart started racing very fast as I picked up my pace, running away from them. I hid behind a tree, my breath getting heavier by the minute. I could hear footsteps getting closer to my side and I kept praying for them not to find me.
I was trying to remain quiet so that my breath and whimpering wouldn't be heard and they wouldn't know that I was nearby. My heart was pounding hard in my chest but I tried not to let it implicate me.
