I could see the sunlight peeking through the little hole of the cave and a smile appeared on my lips, happy that we had made it to the next day and there was no sign of Liam around. It still didn't feel safe enough to just go out without watching and confirming that it was not a trick.
I turned to see my dad who was roasting a bush meat he had probably caught earlier on. He wasn't fully well but he decided to go hunting like he's some sort of hunter. I was pissed off with him but he didn't seem bothered.
He noticed that I was awake and handed me an already roasted meat with something that looked like blueberry juice. We didn't even have all the equipment but he easily made it.
“Are you going to come here or just keep staring at me?” He chuckled lightly and I scooted over to him.
