Arielle’s POV Blood gushed out of my abdomen as I ran through the alleyways. My hand was tightly clasped over the wound in a futile attempt to stop the bleeding. The pain was excruciating, but I kept running, not wanting to slow down, I was scared my pursuers were closing in. As I ran, I could feel blood soaking my clothes, my fingers slipping on the slippery warm liquid. The world around me was starting to spin as my vision blurred. I staggered periodically, my steps faltering as I tried to regain my balance to no avail. My breaths were becoming shallow, my heart was beating fast, and I knew I was losing a lot of blood.
