Chapter Five Gavin Morton and his wife Colette, had been our closest friends for some time now, he was Maria’s godfather and Colette had stood up for Deanna. They were an attractive couple a year or two younger than me but still a ways older than Terry. Gavin and I had started together with the agency and grown with it, though I knew he was envious that I’d managed to finagle the part-time work enabling me to work from home and cut out the daily commute while he was forced to endure it still.
