Nine years have passed, and Jayda's parents want her to return to LA. She has studied in England and Germany and is one of the world's best doctors one can get. Jayda specialized in cancer research, and she got a job offer in one of LA's best hospitals. Over the years, the men studying and working with her have tried their luck, but Jayda is not interested. However, she has one man in her heart, and her love for him is everlasting. Jayda could not get Jason Morgan out of her mind. Although he has not married the world-renowned actress Victoria Ward yet, he still sees Victoria from time to time. They are always in the news, and Jayda wonders why they have not married yet. Years ago, she knew that he had announced that they were just friends when she left the States and that he was not planning to marry Victoria Ward. Jayda did not believe it for one moment. She knows Jason was angry at her for leaving the States as he thought she could study in the States. The day at her grandparent's anniversary party was the last time he ever spoke to her. He did not even say goodbye to her when he came to pick up Victoria from her trip to Africa. "Hi, Jayda. I hear you are moving back to the States." Klaus Wagner says. He would be sad to see her go as he had loved Jayda for a long time. He was a student with her when they started to study. Jayda was clever and finished her studies at a young age, and she and Klaus are working at an excellent hospital in Germany. "Yeah, I am leaving in a few days. I got an excellent job in LA, and I plan to further my studies in the States. Besides, my mother, father and siblings drive me crazy to go home," Jayda says. Jayda does not look happy about going home, but what can she do? Her father will come to Germany and force her to go home. She misses her family, and she wants to be near them. "Well, I also applied for a job in the States. So maybe we will see each other again." Klaus says. Jayda smiles at Klaus, and she knows why he wants to follow her to the States. She told him a million times that she was not interested in men and wanted to further her career. However, Klaus refused to take no for an answer. Jayda pulls up her shoulders. She can not help if he wants to waste his time running after her. Jayda knows that her heart was broken nine years ago by the man she still loves. Every time she sees the face of the young billionaire on the internet, her heart skips a beat. She should be over him by now, but it is as if her heart is working against her brain. She is still in love with Jason Morgan, and she can not forget him. The days go by fast, and Jayda is packing all the belongings she has gathered over the years. She will not move in with her parents and has already found an apartment. She knows if she tells her parents, they will object to it and buy her an apartment, but Jayda has grown very independent of her parents, and she loves looking after herself. Klaus got the job he applied for, and he will be moving to the States in a few weeks. He is standing and looking at Jayda as she packs. They are close friends, although Klaus wants more than friendship. "Why can't you wait a few weeks, and I can join you?" Klaus asks. "I am starting to work next week, Klaus. I can not stay a few more weeks, and you know if. I still don't know why you want to leave all your friends and family behind to chase after me. I told you I am not interested in you or any other partner a million times and will not get married." Jayda says. She feels a little irritated with Klaus right now. She likes him as a friend, but he can be overbearing sometimes. Klaus looks hurt, and Jayda feels a little guilty, but she really wishes he would rather stay in Germany. Jayda takes the photos of her wall and puts them in a box. Among the pictures is one of her, Jack, Jayden, and Jason. Her mother took it years ago at the soup kitchen they used to work at. "I am not chasing after you! I am going there to be with my best friend. You can be so mean sometimes, Jayda." Klaus says. He had not seen the photo Jayda put very carefully into the box. Klaus knows Jack and Jayden as they often come to visit her. He knows they are her brothers, but who is the older boy in the picture? Is he the reason Jayda wants nothing to do with relationships? Why else would she be so careful with that photo? Maybe he is overthinking it, and it is just a childhood friend or a family member. Klaus wants to get a better view of the boy, as he looks familiar. He grabs the box to help Jayda close it with tape and looks at the photo lying on top. It is facing up, and he can see the young boy's face. "You know Jason Morgan, the billionaire with that game company?" Klaus asks. Although Jason is still young in the photo, he can recognise him. "That has nothing to do with you. Close the bloody box and don't look at my personal stuff." Jayda snaps at Klaus. Klaus feels his heart drop. So he was right. Jason Morgan is the reason why Jayda does not want a relationship. "Sorry, I was just asking a question. No need to bite my head off." Klaus says. He is a doctor, and he comes from a wealthy family, but he is not Jason Morgan. "Listen, Klaus, I am sorry I snapped at you, but I am tired from packing and cleaning. I don't want to talk about Jason Morgan as we used to be friends, but we are not friends anymore. He is nothing to me, and I like the past to stay in the past, where it belongs." Jayda says. She feels sorry for snapping at Klaus. He is so friendly and helps her pack and clean, and all she does is be mean to him all day. "I will order takeout. My parents will be here tomorrow, and they want to fly back tomorrow night." Jayda says. Klaus knows the Hudsons are very wealthy, and Jason will be a better match for her, but he will fight for her heart until the end. Jason is sitting in his office. Cathy is still studying, but today she does not have many classes and wants to go and visit her brother. Cathy has news to share with him. Cathy finds out that Jayda is coming home, and she wonders how her brother will react. She remembers how upset he was when Jayda let the whole alliance know she would not be playing the game anymore and was quitting as she had no time to play anymore. "She must have too much fun with the boys at university and doesn't have time for us anymore," Jason said to Cathy when Jayda quit, and Cathy thought her brother sounded jealous. Jayda is not engaged, and she does not have a boyfriend, but she will not tell Jason that. He was an ass to Jayda and did not even come to her farewell party a few days before she left for England. Cathy knocks on Jason's office door, and he shouts to enter. "Hi, bro. What are you up to?" Cathy asks. "Hi, Cat, not much." Jason says. "Wanna stick your poor student sister for lunch?" Cathy asks. "Sure," Jason says. Cathy always tells him about Jayda, which is about the only news he gets about Jayda. Jayden and Jack hardly talk about Jayda when they are together, playing a game or having lunch. Jason gets his suit jacket, and he walks out with Cathy. Victoria is on her way to his office, and as he sees her heading for the front door, he grabs Cathy, and the two of them run out the back entrance to his car in the underground parking. Jason drives away fast before Victoria gets to see them. "Hahahaha, when are you going to get rid of that woman?" Cathy laughs at Jason. "Don't you think I have not tried? She is like a boomerang. She always comes back and does not take no for an answer." Jason says. "You are too soft with her. She is almost thirty and has been chasing after you for nine years. She will blame you for destroying her youth and make you feel guilty," Cathy says. She knows Victoria by now. She would go to every function Jason was at and pretend they showed up together. Victoria is trying to make Jason feel guilty and make him marry her. "You know Jayda is coming back. Her parents went to fetch her, and she got a job at the new Los Angeles - City of Angels hospital." Cathy says. She is watching her brother's face. Jason almost went off the road after hearing the news. "Hey, look where you are going!" Cathy shouts. "Sorry, I lost control for a second." Jason says. Cathy smiles. She knows why her brother almost lost control of the car. He is in love with Jayda and has been for years. That is why he never dates, except for Victoria, who pesters him all the time. Finally, they get to Charlie's Place, and Jason gets out. Although Charlie's Place is always booked in full, they always have a table or private room for Jason Morgan or the Hudson family. Cathy could see her brother's attention was not on her as they sat down. She takes out her phone and pretends to play with it. She opened her f*******: and opened Jayda's profile. The face of a beautiful young woman pops up on her screen. She makes sure Jason can see it. Jason can not stop staring at the photo. He removed Jayda as a friend from all his social media accounts as he was angry at her. Jason was too proud to send a friend request again, and he had not seen many photos of her since she left. The only time he saw a photo of Jayda was when Cathy showed him or left her phone unattended and he quickly looked at Jayda's photos on Cathy's phone. He grabs Cathy's phone and looks at Jayda standing in the white doctor's coat. Standing next to her is a young doctor smiling happily and holding her waist. "Is this her boyfriend?" Jason asks. He feels jealous, and he does not like the feeling. He also does not like another man touching Jayda. "I don't know. Jayda always talks about Klaus, but I guess they are just friends. She is talking too much about him, so I think she might have feelings for Klaus." Cathy since she wrote us off and went overseas," Cathy says with a smile. She knows her brother is still mad at Jayda for going overseas and not staying in the States. What was he thinking? He should have told Jayda he did not want her to go because he liked her. Instead, he has wasted nine years, still pretending not to give a damn. "So, how are your studies going? I hope you are not chasing after boys and not studying like some people I know." Jason says. Cathy wants to laugh as she knows her brother means Jayda and that he is only saying it because he is jealous as hell. "I am studying hard, and if I find the right one, I will not let him wait for nine years to tell him, like some people I know. You should never let Jayda go, and you should have told her how you felt about her. You were an ass to her and got mad at her for leaving, but she left because of you! She loved you, Jason." Cathy says. "Nonsense, it was a childhood crush and nothing more. I am too old for Jayda. Besides, she has someone else now." Jason says. "It serves you right to say nothing and nine years is nothing! You can still win her heart if you want to." Cathy says. "Why don't you worry about Jayden? I have seen the way you look at him. You are in love with Jayden, so why don't you go and tell him?" Jason hits back. "Because mom and dad always told me a lady never makes the first move. I first want to settle some scores with the Morozov family before I can get serious about anything else in my life." Cathy says as she looks at her brother. Jason lost his appetite and only forced himself to eat, so Cathy did not say anything about him being in love with Jayda again.
