“You are the first woman who has made me hard.”
Kayleen’s blue eyes remained locked with one of her soulmates. Kingston Kiev, the God of Death. The powerful sword of the Lycan Realm that stood to inherit authority over the Wizard Lands. He could see through a person's very soul, he could tear them apart with their hidden guilt then leave them with nothing.
“Sounds like I have done something special,” Kayleen replied softly, not letting her eyes twitch.
She was in the arms of the most dangerous Prince ever. Kingston, the eldest son of Lycan King Haakon, had the coldest personality and was least approachable among the triplets. A woman’s approach always triggered him, no matter how beautiful she was. He smelled the cunningness of a woman like a dog refusing to spare her another glance. Or worse, the woman would mysteriously vanish. There were countless cases that Kayleen knew of but he was her soulmate.
Her weapon, her cure, part of her very soul. When it came to having that dangerous of a mate she had to make him move towards her first.
It was not with a sword that one gets a dominant male on his knees, it was by showing one's weakness.

Kingston silently sat next to a sleeping Basil’s side. Basil’s condition was the same as it was before, the left side of his body was paralyzed. At least he was being well taken care of. The diet chart, medicine, and therapy equipment were all well organized around the room. Other than Basil, Kayleen's was the only other scent in the air, so that proved she was the one who took care of the old King.
A while later, when he left the room, he spotted Kayleen struggling to pull a box down from the topshelf of the hallway closet. Her thin trim waist was exposed while her breasts were pressed into each other.
Kingston swallowed hard at the seductive sight of her. His c**k twitched in his pants once again. Whenever her scent hit his nose his body would react, which was something that he found odd.
Earlier, when he unconsciously admitted that he was getting a hard on, luckily she had not understood what he had meant. Females in the Werewolf Kingdom tended to be naive. From what he remembered of her during their childhood, Kayleen was an innocent little rabbit that would walk into a trap without knowing that she would be eaten.
“Here,” Kingston stretched his hand up, retrieving the box for her. He glanced down and found her staring up at him like a child that had been scolded. His voice was heavy and no matter how quietly he spoke, his dominating nature and authority showed through.
“Lycan Prince, can you take a seat? Let me treat your wound.” The burn on his hand was so bad that she had to take on the responsibility of tending it. Kingston looked at the burn that he had long forgotten was there, but he did not wish to turn her down.
In the living room, Kingston sat in the chair opposite Kayleen. He rolled his sleeve up to let her treat the wound that was when he noticed that she avoided touching him. Kayleen’s eyes snagged on the blue veins popping out of the back of his hand. It looked strong, like a weapon that could pull an enemy's soul out from their throat.
“I noticed that some of your belongings were in the next room. Do you live here?” Kingston wondered.
“No, but Grandpa’s condition was slightly unstable so I stayed to take care of him,” Kayleen admitted. Kingston witnessed worry crossing her eyes as she glanced at Basil’s room. There was a fear of being orphaned and abandoned. “I want him to be healthy like before,” she murmured under her breath. Kingston’s lips twitched at the sight. He felt her emotions fluctuating, which he found odd. Why would he be able to feel her emotions?
“King Basil will no longer be in pain. He will be alright,” Kingston assured. He had not wasted his four years amongst the wizards for nothing. After years of hard work, he had come up with a medicine that he just administered to Basil.
“Grandpa seems to be sleeping soundly for the first time that I can remember. I believe the Prince’s medicine is working.”
Kingston looked down at her in surprise. Even the people closest to him had no idea what current achievement and powers he had obtained to assist Basil, yet this little she-wolf already had so much faith in him. The optimism in her was admirable and breathtaking for Kingston. Her eyes were still focused on his wound but the corners of her lips were curled into a hopeful smile. Her hurt filled eyes from earlier no longer look dead.
“I am arranging a place for your stay. Please let me know if you have any special requirements,” Kayleen prompted, fixing the wound with a final tug. She waited for Kingston’s reply, which never came. She looked up to find his chocolaty gaze boring a hole in her face as if he were looking for something.
“Lycan Prince?” Kayleen tried to gain his attention.
“Hmm?” Kingston blinked, realizing that he had been staring at her for a long time. He had not heard what she had said to him. Then his eyes went to the silk handkerchief that she had tied around his hand when she could not find a bandage.
“What did you say?” Kingston slowly pulled his hand back.
“Lycan Prince, can you tell me what kind of place you would like to stay? I will make the arrangements,” she smiled. Kingston’s muscles tightened each time she called him by his title.
“Somewhere that is close to King Basil. I will have to keep an eye on his condition and perform treatments on him,” he explained.
“Then…” she got lost in deep thought. Kingston held his breath when she bit her lower lip. “Then how about I prepare a room for the Lycan Prince here in Grandpa’s residence? There are many empty guest rooms and you would be able to check on him whenever you wish?” Kayleen beamed with her proposal.
“I love the idea,” Kingston nodded.
“Then it’s settled. I will make the arrangements as soon as possible,” she got up to leave.
“I overheard your conversation with Wallace earlier,” Kingston slowly got up from his seat, causing Kayleen to stop in her tracks. The room fell into silence as Kingston stood face to face with Kayleen, her cheeks flushed in embarrassment. “Do you still live with him?” Kingston slightly raised his brows.
Whatever he overheard during the conversation, it was clear that their relationship no longer existed. She was single in every way, Wallace had another woman in his life. Kayleen, on the other hand, did not seem to accept that fact. Her eyes were filled with emotion, giving a glimpse of the blind faith, love that was a path of destruction. A heartbroken and abandoned did not mean she had given up. Kingston needed to hear it clearly from her.
“Why does the Lycan Prince wish to know,” Kayleen lowered her head. “Queen mother said that a matter between a husband and wife should not leave their bedroom,” she bit her lip.
Kingston’s claws felt itchy at the mention of Wallace. She still called him husband. Kingston had always gotten a bitter taste in his mouth when it came to the affection that Kayleen felt towards Wallace.
“Lycan Prince?” Kayleen blinked at him in confusion. He had gone mute again.
“Call me, Kingston,” Kingston’s patience finally snapped. He could hear the title from others but not from her, it hurt his ears. It sounded distant and seemed to be drawing a line between them.
“Kingston?” Kayleen asked innocently, blinking up at him.
Like cold water being poured over a fire, Kingston’s bitterness instantly evaporated as soon as he heard her calling his name. No one other than his family members ever called him by his given name, yet this little woman’s sweet honey-like voice quickened his heartbeat. His name on her lips sounded like a melody to his ears.
“Yes, just Kingston,” he assured her, tearing his eyes away.
“Okay,” Kayleen nodded. “Then…” Kayleen paused, instantly froze like someone had struck her.
“What’s wrong?” Kingston inquired, noticing her sweaty forehead and red face.
“Nothing, I’m just a little dizzy,” she whispered. Her lips curling into a smile, were a sign of everything was fine but her continuously blinking lashes were a sign of her blurry vision getting worse. “I…” Soon she was black out. Her legs grew weaker and she collapsed.
“Kayleen!” Kingston grabbed her in time then secured her in his arms. “Your whole body is cold!” he exclaimed, checking her cheek and neck. Taking a closer look, he found weakness in her eyes, her face was pale like she had not been eating properly and her lips were dry. It should not be the state of a Princess.
“Something is wrong,” Kingston’s lycan was abnormally active and alert.
“I am fine,” she shook her head weakly. He did not believe her.
“Your nose is bleeding!” Kingston frowned. He touched the hot blood rolling down from Kayleen’s nose. “The blood is black,” his eyes grew sharper. Black blood was the worst possible sign. Kayleen slowly regained her senses.
“This happens to me sometimes. It’s nothing to worry about,” she slowly tried to pull away from Kingston, but he scooped her up in his arms. Her cold body was quite provocative when it came in contact with his warm one.
“Keep quiet,” he started, taking her into her room. Kayleen panicked. Why would someone that loathed being touched decide to hold her? The Lycan Prince was carrying a she-wolf!! It would be a hot mess of a scandal if word of this got out of this room. She began to struggle.
“Let go! I can walk….”
Kingston ignored her wriggling that seemed like little more than a baby kicking their legs. He pulled her closer to his chest each time she was being stubborn. His grip grew firm each time and soon she became obedient. He sat Kayleen on the bed slowly.
“I need to find out what is wrong with you,” he mumbled as he stretched his hand out to grab a large fruit knife and aimed at his palm.
“Wait!” Kayleen grabbed his other hand in shock and confusion. “What are you doing?” Her face grew even paler and her eyes wide.
“Don't worry,” the corner of Kingston’s lips raised slightly. Did she think he would kill himself? Kayleen’s heart skipped a bit. It was the first time she saw Kingston smiling. Sure that those lips never smiled at anyone, yet this smile was only for Kayleen. It was impossible for her to tear her eyes away from her.
“Still, don’t do that,” Kayleen whispered. Don’t harm yourself,” She took away the knife from his hand, the simple touch set fire to Kingston’s whole body.
His heart skipped a beat at seeing pure concern in Kayleen’s innocent eyes. There was no memory of concern from anyone else in his life. Who would worry for the God of Death? Fight to death, live a life between bones and blood, then keep one's words to one’s self. It was an ugly truth of life, one where Kayleen’s teary worried eyes brought a beauty that Kingston had never experienced.
His eyes got stuck on the newly formed blood that rolled down to her lips. He swallowed at her sheer seductiveness. The heat passing between their bodies from their hands caused his c**k to twitch like he could be killed from the torcher.
“You have not left me any other choice!” Kingston let out a low growl, grabbing a handful of her hair as he raised her face up so that he could crush his hungry lips to hers.
Kayleen’s eyes widened. Her mind went blank for a second. The man’s soft lips worshiped her, the warm tongue dominating hers was not Wallace’s but Kingston’s. The sense was knocked back into Kayleen's brain. Kingston was kissing her!!
She clutched Kingston’s arms in surprise. Her attempt to push him away failed when he grew more and more gentle. Kayleen gave in to her own rising desires and slowly closed her eyes .
Her lips were so hot and soft that Kingston refused to break the kiss. Even trying harder, she could not hide the fact that she was enjoying it. Her soft moans gave everything away. A metallic taste mixed into Kingston’s mouth. His fingers loosened in her silky hair as his tongue explored her mouth.
He had a hard time focusing, but when he finally regained his senses, he tasted something unbelievable in her blood, causing him to break the kiss.
“You are dying?!” he discovered.
