Chapter 6I had a seat by the emergency exit. The extra space gave me room to stretch out my legs, which I needed, since I must have pulled a muscle in my thigh the night before I crossed my feet at the ankles and rested my head against the back of my seat. The flight attendants would be coming around soon with the beverage service. Even if it hadn’t been barely midmorning, I would have restricted myself to a tomato juice on the rocks.
