After my run, I went back home and was shocked to see that it was now Julia, who was in control. I thought that she would be gone for months, but I guess I was wrong.
She smiled when she saw me, which made my heart flutter a bit.
“Hi.” She whispered as she tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear. Her eyes sparkled just like I remembered that night when we first met.
“You're back.” I said, not being able to get over my shock. She smiled at me and nodded her head, then reached out and gently touched my arm, sending shivers through me.
“Yes, I'm sorry if I stayed away for too long. I just thought that I could use that time to think and rest. My mind was a mess, but now that I'm back, it's clearer than before. No more running, Logan, I promise.” I didn't waste any more time
