Chapter 6“What in the hell…” Adam turned at Madison’s yell. A stage coach careened madly along the road. He couldn’t see the driver. With a volley of curses and a bellow of his own, Adam urged his horse into a full gallop. Madison was right behind him. Madison climbed into a crouch on his saddle then leapt from his horse onto the stage to take the reins. Adam urged his mount on and rode up beside the lead horses. While Madison pulled the reins, straining and yelling for the horses to stop, Adam grasped a handful of one horse’s bridle. He yanked hard, adding his own shouts to Madison’s.
