Elizabeth’s POV "Mate!” Kona chanted. “Is it Alexander?” I asked. “Have a look; he is standing in front of you.” “Thanks for the heads up,” I groaned. “My pleasure, sweet peas,” I said, rolling my eyes at her. She could at least have warned me that he was here. But no, I had to be entertained by Lisa’s new mate's claim. And you know what? This guy looks exactly like John. What the f*ck! Then I remembered he was at the Winter Ball. I stepped away from him, scared that he would grab me again in one of his bear hugs. I wasn’t in the mood to be squashed like a bug today. That, of course, didn’t help, because I bumped into Alexander, and his sweet orange and dark chocolate aroma filled my insides. I sighed in contentment, but it didn’t last long.
