Chapter 6:
The steam launch arrived, and Helena watched as each of the crew climbed down the Jacob’s ladder. While they waited for their turn, she spoke with each man, shaking their hand and thanking them for their service to her cause.
The sun was setting when Rosa and Phoebe fell in line to join the group going ashore. Mister Wizard and Deirdre had left at the head of the line.
“I know it's late, but try to find someone that can make the uniforms in three days. I want our crew looking more standardized and less like pirates.”
Phoebe nodded.
Rosa asked, “You’re not coming ashore?”
“Not tonight, I want to check out some items before I leave the ship. Besides, the captain is staying aboard, as is Krushna. I don’t think it is wise to go ashore while the navy is investigating our ship.
