THE LOST ALPHA

CHAPTER 3 ETHAN CROSS

 The night came when we would be killed again. This is another chance to prove to Andrew and especially to my dad that I am strong and I can be Alpha. And the night deepens again. We saw that the guards came more outside, so we all got ready. Many of us also joined, including the other women in our group. We also saw that the guards was tighter in the whole village, they were more numerous than in the past.

 If we rush immediately we can all be shot. So we waited a few hours, until we saw the time, the other guards were sleeping at the back of the house. That's when we started moving. We went down and slowly went to the sleeping guards of the village. We all transformed into a wolf and I abducted them one by one and our comrades and killed them in the forest. We took their weapons and started firing at the guards.

 There were dead and wounded people lying on the floor, we started entering houses to kill people. Andrew and I were still together, and my father followed. When we entered the house of our choice, Andrew began to take the men and kill them all. I didn't want to look; my father went inside as well

  I suddenly thought of the girl I was talking with a few days ago, where is she? I want to save her, because she proved to me that people are kind. She also showed me their love for their families. I need to find her and I need to save her now. I told my father that I would go alone to kill. This is my farewell to him.

 He immediately allowed me; he told me he was very proud that I became his child. I immediately went out the door and looked for the girl, I did enter all the houses I could, but I did not see her shadow. I did not give up; I still tried to find her, when someone suddenly called my name from behind. Andrew. I was surprised that he was holding the girl's hand.

 I no longer mistake that she was the girl I talked to. “Put her down.” I said to Andrew. The girl was crying, unable to stop her tears from falling out of fear. I looked around; I saw her father and her youngest brother being dragged into the middle of the village. Is this it again? Will I see again how they will kill people? How many pieces of their body will torn apart?

 “I told you to put her down!” I shouted at him. As I approached him, he smiled at me. I was shocked by what Andrew did next, I saw he raised his right hand and was about to stab the girl in the stomach. I accelerated my action so that he could not do it. But, Andrew stabbed his sharp nail into the girl's stomach.

 I saw the little girl coughing up blood and she seemed to be having difficulty breathing. He lowered the girl and laughed out loud. I felt strange again in my body, I could not understand it, I did not know where the energy came from, but I only knew one thing, anger builds up in my emotions. In my rage, I howled loudly and made sure they all heard my howl.

 All of our colleagues were stuck in what they were doing; Andrew and I were surrounded by a circle. This time, I could no longer control my emotions. Andrew walked away from the little girl, and I immediately approached her. It was still alive when I held her hand, while the other hand was carrying a piece of paper. I took the piece of paper in her hand and looked at what she had drawn. When I saw this, my tears immediately flowed, I do not know why, but I felt like I had a connection with this little girl.

  She drew a man in the woods and herself. I also saw above the man with the word “Friend.” This girl considered me a friend. I can't believe this is how her life will be. I looked at her and she looked at me too. She took a deep breath and died there. She let go of my hand and it slowly fell to the ground.

 I stood in front of them and looked at each of my colleagues. “What did you do?” I asked them all. They were all wondering why would I feel sorry for a little girl? Why do I feel sorry for people like them? They are all the ones shouting at me. “What did you do!” I shouted loudly and there I saw my father staring at me. “Son, stop that! We need to avenge our ancestors then!” My father answered me.

 “We are doing it wrong! Let’s stop this! The past will not change, if we continue this work, revenge will not end! We must stop!” I try to convince them all to side with me. “Do not believe him! We werewolves! We need to be strong! We need to overthrow the people because otherwise, they will kill us!” Andrew shouted at everyone

  “Is this what you want to be an Alpha? Poor! He has no quality to handle a clan! When he became Alpha! Our race will collapse until we have nothing left!” Andrew added. I can't believe my own friend is against me. I looked at my dad as if his eyes were glaring at me in anger. I wanted nothing but peace for all of us, but why can't they see it”

 “There is still time for you to prove to our comrades that you are not weak.” Andrew said. He took the girl's father and brother and presented it to me. “Kill him. When you do this, I will not fight in any contest between the two of us; I accept that you are a true Alpha.” Andrew said to me. I looked at the man holding his baby. This situation is familiar to me. This is the night we rushed to their house and the woman was holding her crying baby.

 “Don't kill me, have mercy on me and the baby I brought.” The man said. I looked around, and saw they were all waiting for me to kill this man and his son. I took a deep breath and looked at the man. I saw him close his eyes and ready to die in my hand. “I will not.” I told them all that they were immediately surprised.

 “I will not kill him! Don't you see that they are just like us? What a difference we make from them! Listen! We both have life in this world, they had a family and so do we. So I beg you, please.” I try to open their hearts and minds.

 Andrew growled loudly and was about to approach the man and his baby to kill them, but I stopped him. "Go away! All of you run! ” I shouted at the man and I shouted at the whole people inside the village. All the rest left and ran away, while we werewolves were left in the village.

 We were still inside the circle, and Andrew seemed to be challenging me to a fight. To finish this, I will not refuse, I will deal with him, because this is what he wants. “If you think I'm going to run, you are wrong, I will fight you because this is what you want to happen.” I told him. “That's good, because I want our whole family to know how weak you are Ethan.”

 I picked up the girl first and put her on the side, I thought, I wanted her to deliver to her final destination. I turned my attention back to you Andrew, I saw him eager for our confrontation. I also looked at him well because I wanted to convey to him that I would fight till death.

 Andrew ran towards me and he beat me, I was ready to catch everything he hit me. The two of us fell to the ground and bit each other. I knew Andrew had strength in his body, so he immediately bit me on my left arm. I was hurt because of its sharp teeth that broke me. Fortunately, I was able to get my arm out of his mouth, but he was not finished yet. He raised his hand and he scratched me in our face. My cheek was bleeding from the wound.

 Until I recovered immediately, I kicked him away from me, and when I stood up I suddenly changed my eyes, in anger I beat Andrew and this time I was on top of him. He can no longer stop me. I bit his neck and made sure my fangs sank into him. He struggled hard, but he could not get away from me. Until he begged me to stop, his two ears were down and he was having difficulty breathing.

 My strength and vision returned. I looked at them all and saw that they were shocked by the by what happened. I saw Andrew still lying down and transform into being a human. All my colleagues howled when they saw the full moon. I turned into human and helped Andrew to stand up. I saw his body tremble, and his neck wound.

 My father ordered us all to return to our territory to rest, but I told him I would just follow them, because I wanted to bury the child. Andrew hugged me and apologized. He just couldn't control himself. He also told me that he would accompany me to where I would bury the girl.

 The two of us walked in the forest and when we found a nice place where the girl could rest, we immediately dug a grave and put her body.

 We were on our way home, we crossed the middle of the waterfalls to a tree that connects to the other side of the road, as I walked slowly, someone hit my back with strong force and this was the reason I fell into the falls. My body hit a few rocks before finally falling into the water. My body was still able to get up; I swam to a rock and lifted myself up. Until then I lost consciousness.
