Ch-3 |Freya|

1817 Words
My life was back, My heart singing with joy, Doesn’t matter if he was demon, Doesn’t matter if he was here to destroy, FREYA Alexander had black eyes now; this was the only thing that bothered me. I loved those violet eyes, my violet eyes. But seeing him up close after a tormenting three month, I realised that even him becoming a demon didn’t lessen my love for him. I could hear the threats he gave me but my mind ignored them and just overjoyed on his return. I should have been scared when he violently gripped my neck but my smile was plastered to my face. I was just so relieved and happy to see him. But he was agitated at me for something; at least both demon and angel Alexander were short tempered. He thought I had out some spell on him, why would he think so? Had Apollyon filled him with such lies? Whatever the absurd reasons behind, he came back after a month and that also to visit me. Well, he came to threaten me for some wrong reasons but he came and that was enough for me. Deep down I was slightly disappointed to the unfamiliar look in his black eyes and that my kiss had no effect on him but I didn’t hope that much so I was kind of fine. He did threaten to torture me and glared at me but the annoyance registered in his eyes when I was not affected as much as he expected. He might be thinking I was one weird girl, I was supposed to make him fall me for me but I gave very wrong first impression. I even thanked him for coming back when he might have no idea what I was talking about. I had to tell someone so I walked silently to my house and in my mind I called for Haylien or Alicia whoever heard my prayers. My mother greeted me with a smile as soon as I stepped in my house. After so long I felt like smiling so I returned a smile. “We are having roasted chicken for dinner.” She announced happily. She had been trying to lift my spirits with good food since I was the sole victim of her constant scrutiny now. My sister was gone back to her husband after Luke was born; she was here for maternal care thing. “Sounds awesome, I will take a bath and will be down soon.” I said feeling a desire to clean up and wear something nice. My mother looked a bit surprised at my mood swing but I couldn’t just tell her that love of my life was back. I didn’t scream out loud when a white winged angel greeted me as I entered my room. I called them after all. But my heart did stop for a while. “You called, what is it? Are you ok?” Alicia asked with her big concerned eyes. She was Alexander’s sister, her favourite sibling. She was fun loving, straightforward and friendly. Alicia looked nothing like her brothers, Alexander had messy dark brown hair and set of exotic violet eyes while Alicia had rusty brown colored waist length hair and forest like green eyes, she was few inches taller to my five feet three inch frame. Her wings were a bonus to her beauty, with shades of pink and yellow to her wings. Shades of wings define your personality, Haylien had told me. Pink and yellow defined Alicia well. “I saw Alexander today.” I told her and she yelped in joy, realising her mistake her hands clamped her mouth. “Freya, are you ok?” My mother yelled from downstairs. “Fine, I poked my eye with my finger by mistake.” I said making up a lame excuse to which Alicia giggled. “How is he? Is he an angel? Does he remember you?” She showered me with questions. How was he, my mind contemplated the answer to it for a moment. He had grown even more handsome and sexier in past month. His attire completely suited him, on seeing me I had the familiar tug of want and desire. He looked ravishing. His hair was a sexy mess and even the evilness in his eyes was alluring. Slight subtle on his face gave him the gorgeous demon look he might have been aiming for. I amended my answer a bit when I told Alicia. “He is fine, I guess. Not back to being angel fine though. He doesn’t remember me but he did blame and threaten me for putting some magic spell on him.” I gave her the short version. “At least he came to you. But why blame you? He does sense you are human, all angels and demon do. Are you sure he didn’t mean love spell?” She grinned obviously happier to hear about her brother. I shook my head at her out of box thinking. She and Hazel would get along well. “People usually don’t strangle they are in love with?” I answered back. “He tried to strangle you?” The concern in her voice multiplied fifty times. I waved away my hand lightly, “Nah! I am fine. It was not that serious.” “You have red finger marks though.” She whispered sounding horrified and apologetic for some reason. I looked at my mirror and saw that she was right. But I couldn’t feel the pain so I was fine. “It is nothing. I have been tortured in hell, I can take this much.” I smiled playfully to put more effect in my words. She nodded with the apologetic look still on her face. “How is Haylien?” I asked trying to change the topic of discussion. “He is playing King for now, not too happily I must add. He always thought Alexander will be a better King.” She sounded like a sibling not able to decide who is right. “How will we make Alexander remember?” I finally asked the major and terrifying question for both of us. Alicia sighed and looked me in the eyes, “We couldn’t handle the angelic version of Alexander, I highly doubt we can even talk to him as demon. I guess he might hate angels now. Like we said before, for now you are our only hope. And seeing how you are still in one piece after meeting demon Alexander, there is still a chance for us.” In other words, she had no idea how to make Alexander an angel again or get back his memories. We could have asked his angel father for help but there was too much dislike in that relationship. “Lizea is in prison being punished for her crimes.” Alicia reported after a moment of depressing silence. Lizea, Alexander’s bad aunt who was consorting with King of Hell to get rid of him and also me. She had been partially successful since I Alexander turned demon and lost his angel part that included loving me. I was glad that she was in prison she deserved to be punished. I hate being tortured in hell to the point of damaging my soul, I could be happy about her being torment in return. My mother always taught me to be forgiving, gentle and kind. She was like this and I was not my mother, I had other thoughts and morals. Though sometimes her advice and way of life was so engraved in my head, I behaved like her. “Alicia, protect my mother, my family, my new born nephew. If I had to be fearless and make Alexander love me I have to work real hard and recklessly. Apollyon might not agree, in fact seeing Alexander today I don’t think he would tolerate me much. Just promise me you will guard my family, I will do whatever I can to bring Alexander back.” I said out my decision and worry loud. “Don’t worry about them. Haylien is acting King; he will put all protection around your family. You just be safe, as much as I want my brother back I want you to be safe since I have never seen Alexander love someone so much before you. I cannot allow any harm to come to my brother’s treasured one.” She gently squeezed my shoulder in way of unsaid promise and friendship. I tried to put my emotions and gratitude in a smile. “Freya, there is someone to see you.” Her mother voice suddenly called out. Alicia’s brow shot up in a question, I rolled my eyes at her. “You are not cheating on my brother, are you?” She teased. “I am not the angel, I am human. I am allowed to have other love interests.” I teased back. She laughed and next instant she vanished into thin air. I hurried down curious myself who was there to see me. I heard my mom laugh at something the guest said. The male voice sounded familiar but I was not so sure. “She is here; you can come in if you like.” My mother said to someone outside the door. “No, I am fine. It will just be few minutes Mrs Morenson.” “Martin!? What are you doing here?” I blurted out the rude question unintentionally. My mother clanked her tongue in form of scolding at my response. But Martin just grinned. Martin Harding, friend from school who enjoyed flirting. We were not that close that he could visit my home but he was standing there. He was good-looking like summer fresh, gullible yet fun kind of good looking with his sand coloured hair and blue eyes. Most of the girls loved him and he returned the favour. “I am your new neighbour Freya. Thought I would stop by and say hello”. He grinned impishly with twinkle in his really blue eyes. “Welcome to the neighbourhood.” My mother said and then giving me a tentative smile she left. She was getting the wrong idea. Suddenly shocking me more than I already was Martin grabbed my hand and planted a kiss on back of my arm. “I am honoured to be your neighbour.” He winked at me in a flirty manner and left me stunned in silence. I groaned in frustration. I cannot tolerate constant presence of Martin Harding and his endless flirting. I sincerely hoped that this time he will make an actual, serious girlfriend.
